A Turkish team turns into ‘ghosts’

It was necessary to play a match between Istanbul, Basaksehir and Sivaspur, despite the snow that covered the pitch, and the two teams ended up in a tie in a match that was an ordeal for the fans.

Sivaspor players turned into ghosts at Fatih Tarim Stadium, after wearing the white uniform, and the home team’s players had difficulty distinguishing their opponent’s players due to their camouflage clothing with heavy snow.

Daniel Alexic put the lead on Basaksehir in the 38th minute, but the visitors responded a minute later via Hakan Arslan.

Followers of the “strange” match on television expressed their suffering in distinguishing the Sivaspor players, and one of them commented jokingly: “It’s like a FIFA game when you choose the wrong outfit.”

Another Tendra said: “This outfit is part of the tactic of Sivaspor and its name is (Casper Strategy), a new brand in European football,” referring to the cartoon character Casper, “the ghost”.

The Istanbul team ranks eleventh in the Turkish league standings, while Sivaspor is tenth, with 23 points in each of the two teams.
