Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country, announced Thursday that it will receive, next March, 10 million doses of a vaccine against “Covid-19”.
The Nigerian Minister of Health said in a statement that 10 million doses are expected to reach the country in March, in addition to the 100,000 doses of the “Pfizer” vaccine that was previously announced.
The government has not specified who will provide these new doses.
Nigeria, with a population of about 200 million, has officially counted about 104,000 cases of the emerging coronavirus, including 1,382 deaths. However, these numbers do not reflect the reality because the number of tests is small.
