International striker Eden Hazard was named “the most emblematic player” in Belgian football history by fans who participated in a poll organized by the Belgian Federation to celebrate its 125th anniversary, according to the latter published on its website Thursday.
Hazard (30 years) won 10.6% of the respondents’ votes, ahead of Vincent Company (9.4%), Kevin De Bruyne (9.1%), Jan Colemanz (9%), and Paul Van Heemst (7, 3%).
Hazard, who started his career with French Lille before moving to Chelsea and now at Real Madrid, has participated in 106 international matches (32 goals) with the Belgian national team, which makes him the third most involved player with the national team.
