Kim and Kanye met through their mutual friend Brandy in 2003 and kept in touch through the years. The rapper made his first appearance on ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ in 2010 when Kim and her sister Kourtney invited him to their DASH boutique in New York. At the time, Kim was dating NBA star Kris Humphries.
Following Kim’s infamous 72-day marriage to the basketball player, Kanye released his single ‘Cold’ , when he admitted he’d long admired Kim. In 2013, he said in an interview with Ryan Seacrest: “I just knew I wanted her to be my girl for a long time. I remember I saw a picture of her and Paris Hilton, and I remember telling my boy, ‘have you seen that girl Kim Kardijon?’”
