Ant McPartlin and his girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett have announced their engagement, following the latter’s proposal on Christmas Eve.
The I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! host got down on one knee during the festive season as the twosome are both very fond of the holiday.
Ant’s rep told Metro on New Year’s Day: “Ant and Amzie are delighted to announce their engagement. The proposal took place on Christmas Eve at home in a very romantic setting.”
Ant’s yet to share the news on the social media he shares with Declan Donnelly, though the duo shared wishes for the year ahead a few hours before the news was confirmed.
“Happy New Year. Here’s to a better and brighter 2021 for us all. X,” the twosome’s tweeted.
Ant has been romantically linked to Anne-Marie since March 2018. Before then, he was married to makeup artist Lisa Armstrong for 12 years, whom he’d been with for 11 years prior to getting hitched. Corbett has two teenage daughters from a previous relationship.
While the Saturday Night Takeaway presenter is known for keeping things relatively private when it comes to his dating life, he did offer up an update as to how well the pair were getting on back in March last year, when he was asked by Stylist what his ‘greatest love’ is.
“My family, my partner, her girls, our dogs… and Newcastle United,” he replied.
