Michael Douglas has a new grandchild.
His eldest son Cameron, 42, took to Instagram with happy news ahead of Christmas – he and girlfriend Viviane Thibes have welcomed a baby boy.
Cameron, who’s the spit of his famous dad, beamed at the camera as doting mum Viviane smiled at their newborn.
Their three-year-old daughter Lua was also there, pulling an unconvinced expression as she was introduced to her new brother.
And the family of four were flooded with messages of congratulations in the comments.
Lua and Ryder granddad Michael was among the well-wishers, writing: “So happy for Vivian and you. Don’t think Lua is sure about this yet!
“What a holiday present.”
His wife Catherine Zeta-Jones added: “Lua’s Face! like…..’whatever……….’ Hilarious! Congrats!!”
Michael, 76, shares Cameron with ex-wife Diandra Luker, who he was married to from 1977 to 2000.
Now he also has 20-year-old Dylan and 17-year-old Carys with Catherine.
This year marks 20 years of marriage for Michael and Catherine.
Three days before announcing the birth of Ryder, the happy family marked Lua’s third birthday.
Proud grandfather Michael shared a sweet selfie with the toddler, writing: “Happy Birthday to my granddaughter Lua, who turns 3 years old today! Love you Lua!”
Last year, Cameron opened up about past addiction problems, telling PEOPLE how his daughter had helped him recover.
“Having my daughter gives me a whole new perspective on life,” he shared.
“My daughter is a source of inspiration. Hopefully she will see her father has accomplished a lot and is doing good things and maybe she’ll be proud of my journey.”
And the birth of Ryder will be welcome news for the family after the sad death of Michael’s father, another Hollywood star, Kirk Douglas.
