The former ‘Only Way Is Essex’ star and her husband Rio Ferdinand – who has kids, Lorenz, 13, Tate, 11, and Tia, nine, with his late wife Rebecca – welcomed their first child on December 18.
A source has confirmed that Kate and Rio gave birth to a baby boy.
Meanwhile, Kate previously admitted she feels like she’s been pregnant “for about five years”.
Asked about her fitness regime whilst pregnant, she said: “I think I trained for the first eight weeks – it feels like I’ve been pregnant for about five years. Then I think I stopped because I felt sick and I didn’t start again until the second trimester. Then I got back into Pilates and really enjoyed that. It helped with my back. I just felt like I was doing something. I launched [YouTube channel] ‘Ferdinand Fitness’ with Rio then found out I was pregnant, so that was bad timing.”
And Kate admitted it was the YouTube site that gave away her pregnancy to friends.
Speaking about lockdown, she explained: “It was lockdown, so I was quite lucky that I wasn’t seeing anyone. But quite a lot of my friends said they already knew, because after ‘Ferdinand Fitness’ launched I stopped working out. So they had a feeling I was pregnant. It’s been quite nice in a sense because I haven’t had to cancel loads of plans and life is a bit more relaxed in lockdown. I didn’t have to [go out and] pretend to anyone, so that was quite good.”
The couple revealed their happy news on Instagram in June, with a touching video in which they told Rio’s children the happy news and watched them jump for joy.
Kate wrote alongside it: “The crazy house is about to get a little bit crazier … every time I watch this it makes me cry, the best reaction. Baby Ferdy we are all so excited to meet you (sic)”.
