Eminem has called out Snoop Dogg on a track from his newly released deluxe version of Music to be Murdered By.
Earlier this year, Snoop Dogg publicly stated that he didn’t think Eminem was one of the greatest rappers of all time.
Today Eminem released a surprise follow-up to Music to Be Murdered By, which was released in January, entitled Music to Be Murdered By – Side B, featuring collaborations with artists including Dr Dre, Ty Dolla $ign and Skylar Gray.
On the track “Zeus”, Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers, raps: “As far as squashing beef I’m used to people knocking me / But just not in my camp / And diplomatic as I’m tryin’ to be last thing I need is Snoop doggin’ me.
“Man, Dogg, you was like a damn god to me / man not really, I had dog backwards,” he continued.
Elsewhere on the same track, Eminem apologised to Rihanna over having “sided” with Chris Brown.
In 2019, a decade-old track leaked in which Eminem expressed support for Brown, who pleaded guilty to felony assault in 2009 after assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna on their way to the Grammy Awards ceremony.
“And wholeheartedly apologies Rihanna for that song that leaked,” he raps on “Zeus”. “I’m sorry, Rih, it wasn’t meant to cause you grief / But regardless it was wrong of me.”
