#Alive

It wouldn’t be Halloween season without at least one good zombie flick! This time, a young man gets left behind when his family goes on vacation – just as a zombie apocalypse kicks off. After two weeks alone, he thinks he’s totally isolated, until he finds out that one of his neighbors has survived too, and the two try to communicate to figure out a way to escape from their zombie-filled apartment complex.

The Babysitter: Killer Queen

Two years ago, a boy defeated a demonic cult led by his babysitter, but to this day, no one believes him, even though the babysitter and her friends have all vanished. When he accepts an invitation from his crush to a Halloween lake party, he discovers that old evil isn’t quite so dead after all.

The Paramedic

A terrifying story of revenge is at the center of this fall thriller. After an accident leaves a man physically disabled and mentally anguished, he vows revenge on every single person who he believes has failed him and gotten him to this point.

Ratched

Ryan Murphy’s latest exploration of the horror genre stars Sarah Paulson in a “prequel” series explaining how Nurse Ratched, one of film’s most infamous villains, came to be. In 1947, a young Mildred Ratched takes a job at a psychiatric hospital, where she discovers deeply unsettling experiments and begins to be corrupted herself.

The Binding

A woman heads to Italy to visit her future mother-in-law, but things take a dark turn when a malevolent spirit attempts to claim the life of her young daughter.

Vampires vs. The Bronx

Vampires have nothing on a bunch of New York teens in this movie about a group of Bronx teenagers who band together to save their neighborhood from an invasion of vampires.

Hubie Halloween

Adam Sandler turns his usual comedy style to the spookiest of holidays. Sandler plays a goofy resident of Salem (yes, that Salem) who’s obsessed with making sure Halloween always is perfect and safe. When people start disappearing, he has to convince the police that there’s something evil afoot.

To the Lake

A plague plunges human civilization into a post-apocalyptic wasteland, with survivors forced to sacrifice everything they know and love just to stay alive.

The Haunting of Bly Manor

The next installment in the horror anthology that began with The Haunting of Hill House is based on the horror novella The Turn of the Screw. A young nanny gets a job caring for two orphaned children at an old British manor house, but she soon begins hearing voices that may or may not be the spirits of two mysteriously-gone former employees of the household.

A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting

A high school freshman takes on a seemingly normal babysitting gig, only to find herself recruited into a secret society of babysitters who protect superpowered kids from the real monsters. She and her new allies must go up against a colorful array of villains on Halloween in order to keep the kids – and the world – safe.
