Jennifer Lopez: I don’t know if I can re-create my dream wedding

Jennifer Lopez is worried she and Alex Rodriguez won’t be able to “re-create” their dream wedding.

The ‘Hustlers’ star and her fiancée were originally supposed to tie the knot in Italy last year, but they were forced to put their plans on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

And now, Jennifer has said she’s concerned the couple will never be able to have the wedding they dreamed of, but is willing to wait as long as it takes.

She told Elle magazine: “We postponed the wedding twice. We had planned what we really, really wanted to do, [but] I don’t know if we’ll be able to re-create that. We cancelled it, and since then we haven’t really talked about it. There’s no rush. We want to do it right when we can do it. We just have to wait to see where the world lands.”

Jennifer’s comments come after she recently said she and Alex have discussed the possibility of not getting married at all.

After being compared to Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, who have been together since 1983 but never got married, the 51-year-old singer and actress said: “Oh yeah, we’ve talked about that for sure. I mean at our age, we’ve both been married before, it’s like, do we get married?

“Do we not? What does it mean for us? And it’s just, it comes down to like personal, like, what do you want to do?”

The ‘Jenny From The Block’ hitmaker still plans to wed the retired baseball star but is in “no rush”, and recalled how “sad” she felt when the original wedding was cancelled.

She added: “There’s definitely no rush though. It was really sad because we were supposed to get married in June and we had planned it all.

“So in March or April, we’re looking down the pipe and we’re going, ‘This is maybe not going to happen’. Italy’s the worst place in the world. And we were going to get married in Italy.

“I was like, ‘Okay, we got to cancel everything.’ And we had to put out all this money and all this stuff, we were like, ‘We gotta cancel it.’ So we, we cancelled it.

“And then we try to regroup for later in the year, a few months ago. And I was like, ‘Nope, still not the right time.’ So it was just a little disappointing. And then you just think to yourself, well, things will happen in their divine time in a way.”
