Washington – (Reuters):

The application, “Snapchat”, announced, on Wednesday, that the account of US President Donald Trump has been permanently banned, after his supporters stormed the Capitol building last week.

The company said in a statement on its website that “Trump’s account will be permanently banned in order to preserve public safety,” adding that the decision was made “based on Trump’s attempts to spread misinformation, hate speech and incitement to violence.”
