Marvel’s Josh Brolin and wife Kathryn welcome Christmas Day baby and share story behind name
Congratulations are in order to Marvel star Josh Brolin and his wife Kathryn, who have welcomed a Christmas Day baby!
On Sunday (December 27), Kathryn posted to her Instagram page with the announcement she had given birth to a baby girl called Chapel Grace Brolin at 6.20pm on Friday (December 25).
“Baby Chapel,” Kathyrn wrote next to a picture of the newborn.
“Born at 6:20 pm on 12/25/20. Our little Christmas evening angel… Chapel Grace Brolin”.
Kathyrn and Josh got married in 2016, and are parents to a 2-year-old daughter, Westlyn Reign.
Also posting to Instagram to celebrate the news, Josh revealed why the couple decided upon Chapel Grace’s unusual name.

“Everywhere we have traveled the one place Kathryn and I always found a great solace in were chapels,” he wrote.
“Not being particularly religious but a God feeling has heavily inundated our lives and chapels have always been sanctuaries where we felt connectedly free to gives thanks.
“Chapel Grace is, to us, a manifestation of that celestial feeling that was always felt as we meandered and knelt.”
Chapel is Josh’s fourth child, with the actor sharing two children, Eden and Trevor, with his first wife Alice Adair.
