An official Saudi delegation visits Türkiye to discuss means of cooperation and investment

An official Saudi delegation is visiting Turkey headed by the Saudi Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing, Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, where they discussed on Tuesday, in Ankara, with a number of ministers and officials in the Turkish government; Ways of cooperation in the fields of economy, urban development, and city planning and development.

The Saudi minister met with the Turkish Minister of Trade, Omer Polat, the Minister of Environment, Urban Development and Climate Change, Mehmet Oz Haseki, and the Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Simsek. He also met the head of the Turkish Contractors Syndicate, Erdal Eren, and a number of members of the Contractors Syndicate.

Al-Hogail discussed – during the bilateral meetings – a number of issues of common interest and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries. He also reviewed the best Turkish experiences and practices in the municipal and housing sectors. With the aim of benefiting from the Turkish expertise in achieving the goals, programs and initiatives of the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing.

He was briefed on the Turkish experience in the fields of financing, construction, and urban development, and also discussed investment opportunities in the housing and municipal sectors in the Kingdom, reviewing the Saudi experience in the real estate development sector, in addition to experiences in the field of developing cities and preserving their historical character.

Al-Hogail stressed the depth and strength of the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Turkey, referring to the status of the two countries and their influence at the regional and international levels. He also invited ministers and the private sector from the Turkish side to visit the Kingdom and attend the Cityscape Global exhibition to be held next September in Riyadh.

It is noteworthy that the Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing will participate with the Turkish Minister of Trade in the Saudi Business Forum, which will start today, Wednesday, in Istanbul, and will review Saudi-Turkish investment opportunities, and strengthen partnerships between the two sides in the areas of urban development, construction, contracting, smart cities, and urban development.
