Saudi Arabia and China on the “Silk and Technology” roads

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah Al-Sawaha (Friday), discussed in a meeting with the President of the Chinese Silk Road Fund, Zhou Jun, the strategic partnership between the two sides and the expansion of joint technical investment to reach the region’s markets through the Kingdom’s Gate.
The meeting touched on supporting the growth of the digital economy and entrepreneurship, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to China, Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Harbi.

In turn, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Haitham Al-Ohali met with ZhenFund officials, and discussed with Victor Wang, co-founder of the fund, and CEO Anna Fong, aspects of cooperation between the two sides and the importance of accessing new markets and investing in startups.

This comes within the agenda of the visit by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology and his accompanying delegation to China, with the aim of strengthening government relations in the technical fields, developing the system of emerging national companies, as well as attracting and attracting technical investments and venture capital funds.
