A fundraising campaign for the policeman who killed the young man, Nael, in France, sparked outrage on social sites.

And the young man of Algerian origin, Nael (17 years), was shot dead by a policeman who shot him at close range during a traffic check as he tried to flee in a car he was driving without a license.

And 3 days ago, the former French politician, John Messiah, launched a campaign on the famous “gofundme” website, saying that it aims to support the family of the Nanterre policeman, “Florian M.”.

He added, “Florian did his job, and he is now paying a heavy price. Let’s support him greatly and support the implementation of the law.”

The campaign reaped more than 700 thousand euros in less than 3 days, as more than 34 thousand people contributed to it.

The French “C News” website said that the fundraising campaign aimed to collect only 50 thousand euros, but it exceeded its goal significantly and in a record period of time.
This step caused outrage on social media, where one of the commentators said: “You are financially supporting a person who killed a 17-year-old, and you are proud of that.. You are completely crazy.”

Another commenter stated: “This campaign shows that many people completely agree with the arbitrary shootings,” and another added: “There are literally thousands of people who agree with what the policeman did.”

Nael’s grandmother, in an interview with the BFMTV news channel, also expressed her shock at the online fundraising campaign.

“Sadness fills my heart,” she said. “My grandson robbed me. This man has to pay the price like everyone else.”
