The Russian Ministry of Culture awards the Venezuelan Prosecutor General a medal

Russia’s Ambassador to Venezuela Sergey Melek-Bagdasarov awarded Venezuelan Prosecutor Tariq William Saab the “Great Russian Writer Fyodor Dostoevsky” memorial medal issued by the Russian Ministry of Culture.

Tariq William Saab is also considered a writer and poet at the same time. The Russian Embassy quoted its ambassador, Melek-Baghdasarov, as saying: “We thank Attorney General Tarek William Saab for his special contribution to the celebrations of the 200th anniversary of the great Russian writer, which was manifested, among other things, in his initiative to create a memorial art collection on one of the walls of the Public Prosecution building in Caracas.
Elvis Amoruso, President of the Ethical Affairs Council of Venezuela, Commissioner for Human Rights Alfred Ruiz and Venezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister Franklin Ramiros participated in the awarding ceremony.

Tariq William Saab said in a press conference held at the Russian embassy after awarding him the medal: “Honoring a poet with a medal issued by a country like Russia entails a great responsibility on me, and I believe that culture is a tool for peace, and I will continue to use it responsibly and for the benefit of people.”

It is noteworthy that the Prosecutor General of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is a famous poet and writer, and his book “Views of Boreal” topped the sales of the FILVEN-2022 International Venezuelan Book Fair.
