Discover an abandoned house inspired by fairy tales

While out with his friend in the French countryside, a British explorer stumbles across an old, run-down house that looks like a house from a fairy tale.

Yannick, 21, was amazed to see the house and its decorations still intact, although surrounded by ivy and moss.

The young man said that he felt that he was in a fairy-tale house as soon as he set foot on the grounds of the house’s garden, and expressed his surprise that the house retained its decorations after such long years.
After doing some exploring inside the house, Yannick discovered that the house had been inhabited by a couple 12 years ago, and the man speculated that they might have died without having any children who could take care of the house after they were gone.

While wandering around the house, the young man found all the couple’s photos, and a calendar dating back to 2011. The kitchen was still intact, and the dining room contained a collection of china and chairs, while some paintings were scattered in the inner garden of the house.
As for the bedroom, it contained a double bed covered with a floral patterned cover. Yannick also found many dolls that were stacked in one of the rooms of the house.

And Yannick shared his tour of the house in a video clip on TikTok, which got a lot of views and likes. Since he began exploring abandoned estates in 2019, Yannick has found many charming and exotic places.

Explorers can often find gems in the properties they discover, as happened when a British explorer named Colin Smith found a mansion abandoned for 30 years, according to the Metro website.
