On Friday, the Saudi Ministry of Justice confirmed that documents issued through its website do not require certification, and can be inquired online.
The Okaz newspaper, this afternoon, quoted the Saudi Ministry of Justice as saying that in the event that electronic divorce documents are issued, the Saudi citizen can inquire about these documents through the ministry’s electronic portal.
The ministry explained that a Saudi citizen can enter through the “Najez” portal and click on the “Social Cases” icon and then the “Approved Documents” icon, in order to identify any documents related to divorce.
And regarding the period during which the marital status is changed after divorce on the “Absher” platform, the Saudi Ministry of Justice confirmed that, according to the service procedures, the Ministry of Interior for Civil Status is notified, electronically, of the marital status as soon as the document is issued by the Ministry of Justice.
The ministry indicated that the status of the application can be monitored through an electronic link, provided that the divorce documentation document arrives in the form of a link by message on the beneficiary’s mobile phone, which is documented in the “Absher” system.
It is noteworthy that the document “documenting the divorce” is an alternative to the divorce deed, and a request for documenting the divorce can be submitted through a special link at the Ministry of Justice.
