An Indian man narrowly escaped death after getting stuck on the railway tracks while the train was just seconds from passing a station in India, but two men working in the protection unit managed to save him at a crucial moment.

According to the India Express website, the man was trying to climb from the railway to the platform at the Puram station in Bengaluru, southern India, but was unable to do so.

Personnel from the railway protection unit at the station noticed the man who was stuck on the railway, and rushed to the site, then rescued him very lightly, while the train was coming quickly.

The video showed the train passing on the tracks a few seconds after the man was rescued, which means that the momentary delay in providing assistance would have ended in a catastrophe on the fifteenth of July.

The Railway Authority published the video clip stopping the accident on its Twitter account, praising the two elements who played a major role in the rescue operation, describing them as brave ones.

The video was widely admired on social media platforms in India, amid calls to honor the two railway protection elements, because they performed a “heroic” act.
Meanwhile, others urged the country’s railways to tighten safety measures at stations, in order to avoid some commuters risking their lives to pass to one side of the sidewalk.

The authority has repeatedly urged travelers not to cross the railways, given the great risks, recommending that they travel through the designated places.
