A strange cloud over the Kyiv sky… and a weather observatory explains the phenomenon

The pioneers of social networking sites shared a video clip of a strange cloud that they said was over the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, and appeared to be thundering and lightning without rain.

According to the publication, the strange cloud appeared over Kyiv last Tuesday, and raised questions about its nature due to its strangeness.

The strange weather phenomenon prompted the Hong Kong Observatory to comment, explaining that it was a dry thunderstorm, according to the “India Express” website.

The observatory explained that the phenomenon leads to lightning and thunder without rain, because the raindrops produced by thunderclouds in this case, evaporate in the air before they reach the ground.
