Hoping for a “Corona vacation” .. a diabolical trick from a British policeman

69

In an attempt to obtain sick leave, a police officer in the county of Lancashire, northwest England, resorted to drawing red lines on the home test designated to detect infection with the Corona virus, providing a positive but false result.

The officer claimed that he was unable to come to work, due to the positive test result, but his deception was discovered when he was asked to send a picture of the result as evidence, according to the British “Sky News” network.

The officer was then invited to take another test, and upon confronting him he admitted to falsifying the test and lying, saying he did so so that he could stay at home under the rules of self-quarantine.
Chris Rowley, who is responsible for investigating the incident, concluded that the policeman had violated standards of professional conduct.

“Police officers should bear in mind at all times that the public is expected to maintain high standards of professional behaviour,” he added.
