Millions of Depp sympathizers want “harsh punishment” for Amber Heard

Millions of sympathizers with the American movie star, Johnny Depp, recently demanded that his ex-wife, Amber Heard, be excluded from the movie “Aqaman 2”, against the background of accusing her of defaming the actor and promoting allegations that he assaulted her and subjected her to domestic violence.

According to the British newspaper, “Daily Mail”, a petition calling for Amber Heard to be excluded from the role of Queen Mira in the film, has collected 4.4 million signatures so far, while the jury in the case continues to deliberate in order to issue a decision.

The petition organizers are seeking to collect 4.5 million signatures, which means that the initiative is close to achieving its goal, and has become the most popular platform on Change.org.

The seven members of the jury, five men and two women, began deliberating Friday to issue their decision at the conclusion of a six-week trial in the court of Fairfax, a small town in Virginia near Washington.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star accuses his ex-wife of defaming his reputation and undermining his career by asserting in a 2018 Washington Post article that she had been subjected to domestic violence two years earlier while they were still married, without explicitly mentioning his name. Depp denies the accusations, and demands $50 million in damages.

Heard, 36, launched a counterattack, demanding the actor to pay a double $100 million, and the “Aquaman” and “Justice League” heroine confirmed that she exercised her right to freedom of expression by publishing this article.

Heard considered that the “useless” lawsuit filed by Johnny Depp extends the “abuse and harassment” that she says she was subjected to during her relationship with her ex-husband.
