Google Meet will kick you out of a virtual meeting if you’re the only one in it

The US company, “Google”, is preparing in the coming days to release an update to its “Google Meet” application, which will expel the only person present in a virtual meeting.
Google Meet will kick the only person present from the meeting if their co-workers or friends don’t show up within the first five minutes of starting a scheduled video call, according to an official statement.
After the five minutes have passed, a notification will appear to the lone attendee asking if you’re still there, if they want to keep waiting or leave the call, and if they don’t answer within two minutes they will be kicked out of the meeting automatically.
The feature called “leave empty calls” is automatically turned on within the application, but it can be turned off by going to the “general” option under “settings”.
Other virtual meeting apps have a time limit for idle meetings, but the Zoom app, for example, has a time limit of up to 40 minutes.
Google Meet hopes the new feature will help prevent users from inadvertently streaming video and audio.
Google will gradually introduce the “leave empty calls” feature, starting from April 11, and it will be available on the desktop version, iPhone and Android phones.
