Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine: Kyiv rejects the humanitarian corridors announced by Russia
Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Irina Vereshuk announced that the Kyiv authorities oppose the opening of humanitarian corridors for the exit of civilians from Ukrainian regions towards Russia.
“This is an unacceptable option to open humanitarian corridors. Our people will not fly from near Kyiv to Belarus and then fly to Russia,” Vereshuk said.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense announced that a “calm regime” would be in effect, starting at 10 am Moscow time, and opening humanitarian corridors for the exit of civilians from Kyiv, Mariupol, Kharkov, Sumy.
