Twitter has announced that it is expanding its testing of the “Vote Down” button to a select group of its users around the world.
Twitter confirmed yesterday, Thursday, that it had received “positive feedback” from its initial experiments with the “negative vote” button, which it conducted last July.
“We’ve learned a lot about the types of responses you don’t find relevant, and we’re expanding this testing,” she said in a statement to her users.
And she added: “More of you will have on the website version, and soon on iPhone and Android versions, the option to use the opposition response vote.”

Twitter considers that negative voting has become the most used way for users to report content they do not want to see.

The ‘Vote Down’ button will not be visible to the public, and only users’ opposition votes will be visible to them.
On the other hand, leaks revealed, yesterday, Thursday, that Twitter is testing adding a new feature for its users, which is the ability to write long articles on its platform.
