A two-year-old boy from New Jersey spent $1,700 from his mother’s bank account on furniture purchases through an online shopping service while playing with her phone, without her knowing.
Parcels began arriving at home from household items and others, and according to “News12” channel, the family of 22-month-old Ayanc was surprised by the arrival of a number of cardboard boxes loaded with furniture from a Wal-Mart shopping center without their knowledge of the purchase order.

The mother, Madhu Kumar, told “News12” that they watched with astonishment the arrival of the first worker with the unexpected eviction, then the second and third until they found out that the purchases had already been made for their new home after she had already bought other new items for the house.

She explained that the child entered the shopping platform and clicked on different things and actually transferred the payments.

The family estimated the size of the parcels that arrived at home at about 75% of the list of purchases that the child ordered while playing on the phone.

Fortunately, the family received a promise from the shopping center management to handle the matter and pay a refund for each parcel returned to the mall.

The mother said she plans to secure her phone with lock codes and remove credit card information from her phone.
