Kate Hudson and daughter arrive in Colorado for the holidays

Kate Hudson and her daughter traded in a warm Los Angeles holiday season for a white Christmas in Colorado.

The actress, 42, posted a photo on Saturday of her and her youngest child Rani getting off a plane in the Centennial State.

Hudson flashed a huge, open-mouthed grin for the camera while wearing a heavy white coat, a black blouse and a pair of large knee-high black boots.

While her mother appeared ecstatic, Rani’s reaction was decidedly more subdued. She didn’t smile for the photo in her puffy white coat, Christmas-themed pants and bright white shoes.

Rani kept her hood over her ears and wore a pair of purple gloves on her hands.

The Almost Famous actress captioned the photo, ‘The birdies have landed #coloradogirlies #xmastime.’

Rani, 3, is Hudson’s third and youngest child. She shares her daughter with her fiancé, former Chief singer Danny Fujikawa.

The Marshall actress also has two older children: 17-year-old Ryder, whom she shares with The Black Crowes musician Chris Robinson, and 10-year-old Bingham Bellamy, whose father is Muse singer Matt Bellamy.

Hudson was previously married to Robinson from 2000 to 2007. Hudson and Bellamy got engaged in 2011, but they broke off their engagement in 2014.

While she’s hard at work as a mother-of-three, the Fool’s Gold actress has also appeared in a miniseries this year and has several upcoming movies on the way as well.

She acted in the second season of the true crime–inspired series Truth Be Told alongside Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer and Emmy winner Ron Cephas Jones.

Two of the star’s projects, Knives Out 2 and Shriver, are currently in post-production.
