The World Bank announced that contributors to the Afghanistan Reconstruction Fund decided on Friday to transfer $280 million in nutrition and health assistance to Afghanistan.
“This decision is the first step to reallocate funds in the Afghanistan Reconstruction Fund to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people at this critical time,” the World Bank said in a statement.
He added that the World Food Program would receive $180 million to expand food security and nutrition operations. While the United Nations Children’s Fund “UNICEF” will receive $100 million to provide basic health services.
