The Korean series “The Squid Game” has set a new record as the most watched Netflix show ever.

South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency reported that “The Squid Game” recorded a total of 1.65 billion watch hours in the first four weeks of its release.
On Tuesday evening, the company announced the top 10 lists of movies and TV shows based on broadcast hours in the first 28 days of their presentation.

The Korean drama, which topped the list of popular non-English programs, recorded a total of 1.65 billion hours of viewership in the first 4 weeks of its first release on September 17, which equates to 188,400 years in total.

It is noteworthy that “Netflix”, had revealed earlier, that approximately 142 million families watched the series’ episodes in the mentioned period.

The Spanish crime drama “La Casa de Papel, Part IV” came in second place on the list of non-English works, recording 619 million watch hours.
