A Thai woman cuts the safety ropes that paint workers are attached to in the front of her apartment tower, leaving them hanging in the air.

According to a statement by the Thai police, published by the “NY Post” website, she said that a woman cut a rope supporting two painters who were working on the front of the high-rise tower in which she lives, in Thailand, which led to them hanging hundreds of feet in the air.

The woman explained that she was angry; Because she was not informed of the work before the workers started it.

The footage shows workers suspended precariously near the 26th floor of a building near Bangkok, asking residents to open a window and let them in.

The 34-year-old woman was arrested on Wednesday on charges of attempted murder and property damage, Col. Bongjak Prishakaronpong, Pak Kret police chief, said.

Local media reported that the woman initially denied responsibility but confessed after police sent the cut rope for fingerprint and DNA analysis.

One of the workers, a Myanmar national known as Song, said he and two other men were lowering themselves from the 32nd floor when they realized they were unstable and started calling for help.

The authorities did not say what prompted the woman to cut the rope, but local media reported that she was apparently angry when paint workers appeared outside her room, and did not see an announcement from the building management about the work.

The woman, who claimed she did not intend to kill the workers, faces up to 20 years in prison if she is found guilty of attempted murder.
