Newcastle fans celebrate Yasser Al-Rumayyan

Newcastle United fans celebrated the new Saudi club president, Yasser Al-Rumayyan, when he attended the club’s first match after its acquisition by the Saudi Public Investment Fund.

Yasser Al-Rumayyan and his accompanying delegation arrived at St James’s Park to attend the Newcastle match against Tottenham Hotspur in the eighth round of the English Premier League.

The team’s fans applauded in an expression of salute to the governor of the Saudi Public Investment Fund, Yasser Al-Rumayyan, after he arrived to attend the match.

Al-Rumayyan appeared with Amanda Staveley, CEO of PCP Capital Partners.

The match ended with Tottenham winning against Newcastle United by three goals to two.

Thus, Tottenham’s balance rose to 15 points in fifth place in the Premier League table, while Newcastle’s balance froze at 3 points in the penultimate position.

The Saudi Investment Fund had announced the completion of an investment group under his leadership that includes PCP Capital Partners and RB Sports & Media on Newcastle United for $409 million.

The fund’s governor, Yasser Al-Rumayyan, was appointed as a non-executive chairman of the club’s board of directors, and Amanda Staveley as a member of the board of directors, in addition to “Jimmy Rubin” who will represent RB Sports & Media.
