A picture taken from the top of the areas that were devoured by lava after the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the island of La Palma, where one house remained unburned, in a strange scene, as if the fire had avoided it and moved away from it after it surrounded it from all directions.

The strange scene of the house, which was described as “the only survivor saved by the sky”, after many houses and agricultural areas on the island were burned as a result of the lava, caused widespread controversy on social media in Europe.

Many international media circulated the story of this house, as all the lands and houses surrounding it were burned, but the lava remained at a distance from this house, as if it had avoided burning it.

The scenes show a situation that many social media pioneers considered strange and confusing, as the house remained standing alone in the face of the lava flowing from the crater of the volcano.

According to the newspaper, “El Mundo”, the building is owned by a retired couple from Denmark, who have not visited it since the beginning of the pandemic of the emerging Corona virus in the world.

More than 5,000 people were forced from their homes after a volcano erupted in La Palma, one of the Spanish Canary Islands, and lava is still pouring out.

The activity of the “Cember Vieja” volcano represents the first volcanic event on the Canary Islands in 50 years, and no casualties were recorded, but the lava, which was initially moving at a speed of 700 meters per hour, destroyed at least 100 homes.

During the eruption, more than 4,200 tremors, known as an “earthquake swarm”, were recorded on the island where land deformation indicates that magma was flowing beneath the surface.
