Kuwait .. Lawyer sues a foreign company over “pork”

A Kuwaiti lawyer has filed a complaint against a major foreign company on charges of selling pork and defrauding consumers.

Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Anbaa reported that lawyer Hawra Al-Habib submitted the complaint before the Commercial Affairs Prosecution, and stated that a number of consumers asked the company about the quality of the meat, and they were told that it was pork. In the complaint, the lawyer added that the parent company denied the matter and all the meat of that quality was removed.

The lawyer described the entry of this type of meat to be sold in Kuwait as a dangerous matter, according to the newspaper, which quoted the lawyer, who indicated that the laws of the state prevent the sale or introduction of such meat, and demanded the closure of that company and the accountability of those responsible for the incident.
