News of a crocodile leaving the Nile causes panic in an Egyptian village, and the Ministry of Irrigation clarifies

The Egyptian Ministry of Irrigation commented on the news of a crocodile leaving the Nile to land, walking a distance, and then returning to the water, in the village of Mit Al-Mukhlis in Zefti Center in Gharbia Governorate.
In statements to “Al-Watan” newspaper, the Undersecretary of the Ministry in the governorate, Adel Abdel Qader, denied “the presence of any crocodiles in the Zefti Center,” stressing that “all that was circulated are baseless rumors.”

He asked, “How does the crocodile live in a water height of only one and a half meters?”

Al-Watan reported that a crocodile came out of the water, and kept walking for 100 meters on the asphalt, then returned to the water, in the village of Mit Al-Mukhlis in the Zefta Center in Gharbia Governorate, according to some residents, pointing out that this event “raised the people’s surprise and fear,” as the Seeing a crocodile is unusual in Egypt, especially as it “came out of the water and walked on the road.”
