Pilgrims flock to the plain of Arafat

With the sunrise of this Monday morning, corresponding to the date of the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah, pilgrims flocked in Saudi Arabia to the level of Arafat, what is known as the stop of Arafah or the day of Arafat.
On their way to Arafat, the pilgrims were directly escorted by Saudi security convoys. Security also surrounded vehicle routes and pedestrian paths to organize them according to plans to escalate and group pilgrims, in addition to guiding them and ensuring the necessary safety for them and with full readiness for the various government sectors working in the service of pilgrims.

Today, Muslim pilgrims performed the Zuhr and Asr prayers combined and shortened with one call to prayer and two Iqamahs in the Namera Mosque, following the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad.

As the sun sets on this day, the pilgrims begin their journey to Muzdalifah, where they pray Maghrib and Isha, and they stay there until dawn tomorrow, the tenth of the Hijri month.

In the context of securing these ceremonies, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, upon the arrival of pilgrims at the Namera Mosque, provided all technical and awareness services for pilgrims, amid strict security and health measures to prevent the Corona virus, with the participation of national cadres, as it made special arrangements in the Namera Mosque, to ensure the distance between worshipers, Putting up posters to mark the seat of pilgrims in different colors to avoid gatherings.

According to the Saudi Press Agency “SPA”, the pilgrims arrived at the site of Arafat “to spend the greatest pillar of the Hajj, and then went to the Namira Mosque to perform the Zuhr and Asr prayers, amid the integrated services provided by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, through the committees operating in the mosque, from organizing their entry to the mosque and conducting Checking the temperature, and achieving the application of all health instructions approved by the concerned authorities.

Today, the pilgrims stand at the level of Arafat to perform the greatest pillar of Hajj after the pilgrims spent the night in Mina, and after spending the day of Tarwiyah, according to the precautionary and preventive measures for this year’s Hajj season in organized paths.
