Employees at “Burger King” are making a fuss with their collective resignation

The employees of one of the branches of the famous chain of restaurants “Burger King” in America, caused a sensation on the Internet, because they submitted a collective resignation in a completely unconventional way.

Social media users shared a picture of a sign left by employees outside a Nebraska branch, which read: “We’ve all boarded. Sorry for the inconvenience,” according to local US media.
The employees confirmed that they submitted their collective resignation in protest at the working conditions inside the branch, such as the failure of the air conditioning in the kitchen, which caused the temperature to rise to the nineties.

Director Rachel Flores, who is among those who resigned, said that because of poor ventilation inside the branch, she ended up in the hospital, supplied with fluids for rehydration.

Two weeks after Flores gave her notice of her departure, she was joined by eight of her employees, all leaving the controversial letter outside the branch.

As for the details of writing the sign, it was put up at about six in the morning, when Rachel Flores helped another outgoing worker change the letters on the sign, but after a few hours passed, she received a call from senior management informing her that the sign had to be removed, but she refused and justified it because there was Few staff and lunch hour had just begun.

“With it, we wanted to laugh at them so hard, and the word ‘independence’ was intended primarily for them and not for the public,” Flores said of the sign.

After about 6 hours, the collective resignation banner was replaced with the phrase: “There is currently employment and flexible work schedules.”

For its part, the Burger King restaurant chain issued a statement regarding the incident, stressing that “the work experience described in this location is not in line with our brand values, and the franchisor of establishing this branch is looking into this situation to ensure that this does not happen in the future.”
