Denmark-Finland match resumes after being stopped due to Christian Eriksen injury

The Danish Football Association announced the resumption of Denmark’s match against Finland in the European Championship “Euro 2020”, after midfielder Christian Eriksen fell unconscious.

After his condition stabilized and he regained consciousness, according to what was announced by the European and Danish Football Associations, it was decided to resume the Denmark-Finland match after being stopped due to the injury of Christian Eriksen, at 21:30 Moscow time.

Denmark and Finland will play 4 minutes into the first half and after a 5-minute break the second half will start, according to UEFA reports.
It is reported that a decision was issued earlier saying that the remainder of the Finland-Denmark match was postponed until tomorrow, June 13.

The group stage match between Denmark and Finland, within the framework of the European Nations Cup “Euro 2020”, was stopped, after the Danish footballer Christian Eriksen lost consciousness on the field, and doctors performed a resuscitation.

And the European Union published a statement in which it said: “The match between the teams of Denmark and Finland was stopped due to the loss of consciousness that affected the Danish player Christian Eriksen.”

Eriksen suddenly collapsed as he ran close to the sideline. The player’s teammates formed a ring around him while paramedics were trying to revive his heart.

A large number of players began to cry on the field before the referee ordered the match to be stopped.
