Real Madrid announced today, Thursday, the resignation of its French coach, Zinedine Zidane, from coaching the team.

The Royal Club published a new tweet on its official account on “Twitter”, today, Thursday, noon, in which he confirmed that coach Zinedine Zidane had decided to end his current stage as coach of the club.

“The time has now come to respect his decision, and we express our appreciation to him for his professionalism, dedication and passion, throughout these years, and for what he represents as a person for Real Madrid,” the club’s statement affirmed.

Zidane took over the task of coaching Real Madrid for the second time, succeeding Santiago Solari, and he succeeded in winning the Spanish League title last season, as well as the Spanish Super Cup.

As for this season, Real Madrid went out without championships for the first time since 2009, after ending the Spanish League in second place and early exit from the Copa del Rey, and bidding farewell to the Champions League in the semi-finals.
