Elephants protect their young in Tel Aviv after hearing sirens

Social media activists transmitted a video clip from a central Tel Aviv zoo documenting a group of elephants wrapping around a small elephant to form a shield-like structure around it to protect it from danger when they hear the sirens.

The video clip shows 5 adult female elephants moving and making a protection circuit around a one-year-old baby elephant, as the warning sirens sounded, and holding their position despite hearing explosions in the sky.

Sirens were sounded in the Israeli towns and settlements bordering the Gaza Strip, after the launch of rockets from the Gaza Strip was detected.
