A Eurovision member from Ukraine calls for a change of arbitration rules due to Russia

Igor Kondratyuk, a member of the professional jury of the European singing competition “Eurovision-2021”, called for changes to the competition rules.

Kondratyuk believes that the evaluation criteria must be amended, and representatives of Russia are prohibited from voting and judging their colleagues from Ukraine and vice versa.

He added, “I consider it morally impermissible to evaluate anything and anyone who represents an aggressor country. For me personally, the aggressor always remains in the last place, regardless of the type of competition.”
Kondratyuk stressed, “Music can be outside politics, but that is not possible at all for musicians and singers (and the conversation, of course, revolves around those who have brains and honor),” as he put it.
