US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will visit the Middle East in the coming days to discuss many burning issues.

Blinken wrote on Twitter, saying: “Today I spoke with Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi and informed him that I intend to travel to the Middle East in the coming days to meet with him, the Palestinian Foreign Minister and his counterparts from the region.
According to experts, Blinken will discuss the Palestinian crisis and the issue of stabilizing the truce between Israel and Hamas, as well as the Iran crisis and many issues in the region.

The experts pointed out that Blinken’s visit will determine the US administration’s position on the two-state solution, especially since the statements that came out of the White House over the past period talked about the issue of the two-state solution.

The two-state solution

At the outset, Samir Ragheb, director of the Arab Foundation for Strategic Studies, said that the US Secretary of State’s visit to the Middle East will mainly address the issue of the two-state solution, and through it the position of the American administration regarding this matter will be clarified, and whether the start-up process will need more time, if there is a real approach to a solution. The two countries, and below that, we will be facing a process of freezing the crisis, nothing more.

Ragheb believes that the statements issued by the US administration during the past few days emphasized the two-state solution, in contrast to the Tuppen administration, which ignored the matter and put forward other scenarios that it did not welcome.

The nuclear deal

In his speech to “Sputnik”, he added that the Iranian nuclear agreement, and an attempt to spare the region any direct conflict between Iran and Israel, will be among the files that will be discussed with several parties.

Other files

For his part, the Kuwaiti political analyst, Nasser Al-Masry, said that the US Secretary of State to the Middle East region will discuss, during his visit, many files, foremost of which is the Iranian nuclear agreement and the crisis between Palestine and Israel, especially with regard to the two-state solution, whose borders have not been effectively defined on the ground. In addition to the issue of Jerusalem.

Suggestions for a solution

In his speech to “Sputnik”, he added that the solution to the crisis must be through landing separation forces or through the United Nations forces, to separate the two countries after defining the dividing lines.

He pointed out that the United States ’talk that it does not need Gulf oil does not affect the Gulf countries in light of the need of some other countries, but America seeks to preserve its interests in the Middle East, and to know where the oil is heading and the prices at which it is sold.

Al-Masry pointed out the need to open the Houthi file in Yemen, Syria, Iraq, and the situation in Lebanon.

He stressed the need to unite ranks within the Palestinian interior within the framework of supporting efforts for a two-state solution.

This morning, Friday, a cease-fire began between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” at the time specified by Egyptian mediators.

And ratified the Israeli mini-government, eleven days after the bloody escalation of the cease-fire in the Gaza Strip, after the Ministerial Council unanimously voted on the proposal for a ceasefire.
