NASA displays a “light dance” of two black holes.

Published by the International Space Agency, NASA, a video clip shows the movement of the cumulative disk light (made up of gas and cosmic dust) surrounding two black holes.

The simulation shows, the two holes are in the form of a double aura, and when one of them passes in front of the other, the aura of the hole, which is in the front, turns into a series of rapidly changing arcs, due to gravity.

Scientists believe that black holes are able to preserve accretion disks for millions of years, and astrophysicist Jeremy Schnittman said, “We see (in the video) two supermassive black holes, one of which is large with a mass of 200 million solar masses and the other is small with a mass two times smaller than the other.”

The colors red and blue are close to reality, the disc that emits hotter gas is almost blue in color. Exposed material orbiting around smaller black holes to the effects of stronger gravity, which results in higher temperatures, according to what was reported by the “NASA” website.

Gravity affects the paths of light coming from different parts of the disks, and the rapid movement of the gas near the black hole modifies the luminosity of the disk through a phenomenon called the Doppler effect.

The video also shows a more subtle phenomenon called relative skew. Black holes appear to be smaller the closer they are to the viewer and larger the further away.
