The robot “Sophia” turns her first piece of art into a digital artwork

The robot “Sophia”, her first piece of art, which she finished her initial design by hand, turned into a digital work of art, using her cameras to manipulate faces and shapes.

“Sophia” collaborated during the design of her first artworks with the Italian artist, Andrea Bonacito, and through her digital art piece combined elements of Bonaceto’s works, the history of art and her hand drawings, as the first works of “Sofia” art were titled “The Embodiment of Sofia”, which is A 12-second video file shows a selfie of the Italian artist, which develops into a digital and hand painting of Sophia’s robot artist.

Earlier, “Sophia” worked on designing her first digital art paintings, according to what she announced at the time through her official account in “Instagram”, and wrote: “I love how the world becomes surprising when using computer creativity to collaborate with artists, artificial intelligence developers, and engineers. Want to create artwork with me? ”

She published a video clip of her, holding two palettes of colors in one hand, looking closely at a number of paintings hanging in front of her, while using her iron fingers on the other hand, to mix with her brush the different colors before she used them to draw her first piece of art.

And “Sophia” is a human-like robot designed by “Hanson Robotics” from Hong Kong, and in October 2017 it became the first robot in the world to obtain a nationality, as Saudi Arabia granted it its nationality.
