The Davos World Economic Forum removed Princess Olga’s name from its list of pioneering women who changed history.

“A list of women who influenced the course of history appeared on the World Economic Forum website on the occasion of International Women’s Day, and Princess Olga also appeared in it. For this forum, he criticized former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, claiming that the World Economic Forum called Princess Olga the “Foundation of Modern Russia”. However, such a phrase was not present on the site, it was even reported that Olga was a princess of Kievan Rus’, the ancestor of modern Russia. In addition, Prince Igor, Olga’s husband, Ivan, was named.

Princess Olga dates back to about between 920-969, became ruler of the state of Kievan Rus in the year 945, and historical records say that Olga, after he killed Prince Igor at the hands of the Drevlians, who arbitrarily raised their tribute, took vengeance against the Drevlians.

Later, Princess Olga became the first among the ancient Russian rulers to convert to Christianity, and she is honored as a saint in the Orthodox and Catholic churches.
