Barcelona defeats Sevilla with a double and takes second place from rivals Real Madrid

Barcelona won a precious 2-0 win over Sevilla in the match that brought them together today, Saturday, in the 25th round of the Spanish Football League “La Liga”.

Barcelona scored the goals of the French Osman Dembele and the Argentine Lionel Messi in the 29th and 85th minutes, respectively.

With his goal today, Messi strengthened his top scorer list with 19 goals, expanding the difference from his closest Uruguayan stalker, Luis Suarez, Atletico Madrid’s 16-goal star.

With this victory, Barcelona raised its score to 53 points and took second place from rivals Real Madrid, who has 52 points, who will host Real Sociedad on Monday in the same round.

Barcelona also reduced the difference to two points with leaders Atlético Madrid, who are visiting Villarreal on Sunday.
