An American businessman gives one million dollars in prizes to anyone who answers one existential question!

“The New York Times” revealed the intention of an American businessman to award a prize of one million dollars distributed to three people who would answer one existential question.

The newspaper reported that businessman Robert Bigelow, 75, was constantly interested in “anomalous events” in the history of human civilization, and recently founded the Bigelow Institute for Consciousness Studies to investigate what lies behind death.

Specifically, the Las Vegas real estate mogul and founder of Bigelow Aerospace, wants to see if it is possible for human consciousness to “survive after physical death.” To do so, Bigelow has given scientists, neurologists and psychologists a deadline until August 1, 2021, to send a response of no more than 25,000 words. A group of professional judges will choose the winner on the first of next November. Thus, the first place will get 500 thousand dollars, the second 300 thousand dollars, and the third 150 thousand dollars.

The Bigelow Institute for Consciousness Studies website states that the aim of the competition is to award grants to contestants who write “papers summarizing the best available evidence for the survival of human consciousness after permanent physical death.”

The competition aims to focus on “scientific evidence” in addition to supporting documents gathered from sources that include:

Special cases, including old cases, from highly reliable witnesses

• Evidence from all available literature

Evidence from “highly reliable human trials”

From “other relevant sources”

The deadline for submitting applications is February 28, until 5 pm on that date. The winners will be revealed on August 1.

The institute says of the reason for the competition: “Although all 7.8 billion people on planet Earth will eventually die, very little high-quality research is being conducted on a potentially important and fundamental question facing our species.”

“There are hardly any important conferences or seminars on this issue that could attract scientists, academics and others with advanced training. This is partly because such research is not taken seriously in the current scientific paradigm. Perhaps it is time to end this narrow-minded approach.” “.
