The former Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City is demolished

The former Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino built by former US President Donald Trump is scheduled to be demolished today in Atlantic City.

In 2014 the 39-storey hotel, which was built in 1984, closed its doors after it went bankrupt.

There were plans to organize auctions for the right to push the button to demolish the symbolic house, and to transfer the funds raised to a charitable project, but the owner of the building and Trump ally, Karl Aiken rejected these proposals for security reasons.
