Challenges facing the sea line between Iran and Syria

46

In this week’s episode, we discuss Russia’s intention to launch the “Northern Torrent 2” this year despite the challenges, and huge economic projects linking the Arab world directly to Europe, and the establishment of a sea line to transport goods linking Iran to Syria.

The head of the Iranian-Syrian Joint Chamber of Commerce, Kiwan Kashfi, revealed the establishment of a regular sea shipping line for export from Iran to Syria every month.

Regarding the challenges facing this project, the economist, Hossein Mousavi, told “The Laws of the Economy”:

“The most important obstacles are logistical, so how will these shipments arrive? In addition to the obstacles that Iran faced in the Persian Gulf when an Iranian oil tanker was detained in the Strait of Gibraltar and was heading to Syria, so the greatest difficulty is the safe delivery of Iranian goods to Syria.”

The Russian “Gazprom” company announced the start of operating the “Northern Torrent-2” gas pipeline this year, which will supply Russian gas to Europe, despite American pressures on the participating countries, especially Germany.

On this topic, Russian writer and journalist Andrei Antikov said to “Laws of Economics”:

“What is happening can be considered a test for Germany and its sovereignty, and you must take the lesson that when it imposed sanctions on Russia with the European Union and followed the American desire, it reaped huge losses in billions of euros, and it must not do it again so that it is not the loser again.”
