India accuses China of reinforcing its military positions on the border in “Ladakh”, despite the truce negotiations

An Indian military source said that the Chinese army is strengthening its positions in the border region of Ladakh, and this is inconsistent with the will to calm and de-escalation expressed by it in the negotiations between Beijing and New Delhi.The Indian newspaper “Hindustan Times” quoted its source as saying that the sites of the Chinese military battalions were strengthened with new fortifications, missiles and bombers, with the redeployment of military units and their mechanisms near the Indian border.

Indian media and local experts considered that this military novelty on the border with India is nothing but a response to Chinese President Xi Jinping’s recent call for his country’s army, during his inspection of an air military unit in the Guizhou region in southwestern China, to be “ready for battle.” “During the Spring Festival, the whole army should enhance its battle readiness to ensure the national security and the people’s happiness and peace,” Xi said at the time.

China and India are conducting difficult negotiations amounting to 9 rounds so far to overcome the tensions resulting from the military clashes on the common borders in the mountainous “Ladakh” region that erupted last May and left dozens dead and wounded on both sides.
