Biden: We will continue to support Saudi Arabia to protect its territory

US President Joe Biden said, during a speech at the State Department, that his administration “will continue to support Saudi Arabia to protect its lands, in the face of the threats of Iranian-backed forces.”

During the speech, Biden announced the end of Washington’s support for combat operations in Yemen, and revealed the appointment of US diplomat Timothy Lenderking as a special envoy to Yemen.
